Funds Raised
The aim of the parade was not to raise money specifically, however we are pleased to announce we are showing a surplus of approximately £12,900 from the event after all costs and income have been accounted for. This will be used to set up a fund called Aberdeen Impact which will be used to support some of the charities and community groups in the local area.
Time and resources have been provided free of charge wherever possible by the committee members and supporting organistions.
To fund the event, Sponsorship was successfully sought from 92 different private sector organisations.
"Celebrate Aberdeen” is a project of ACVO which is the benevolent body on behalf of whom funds are being solicited.
“Celebrate Aberdeen” a project of Scottish Charity SC036845 Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations (ACVO) will receive 100% of net proceeds.
Mackenzie PR is a Commercial Participator with ACVO in this project. Mackenzie PR is not to receive renumeration for its services but will receive repayment of expenses. |
